Thank You Tucson!

THANK YOU TUCSON!! We had over 200 people present for our volunteer orientation and general information session this morning. It was an incredible response to our call for more hands to engage in the work of support and hospitality for arriving families from Central America and beyond. We are so grateful to all of you. Adelante!

  1. I have prepared 100 small “care packages” which each include a small blanket, water bottle and stuffed bear for the younger children. While it won’t even make a dent in the total number of children now waiting in centers, maybe it can give comfort to a few. Can you give me a mailing address of where I might send them to get them into the childrens’ hands? I hope to prepare and send more once I have raised some more $.

  2. will children still be dropped off at the Greyhound Depot now that a shelter in Murrietta CA is being opened? Today’s news made it seem that immigrants would be sent there directly from Texas

    • Hi Joy – Women with children are still being dropped off at the Greyhound station daily. Shelters for unaccompanied minors is a separate process.
